I would like to take the time out to commend Debbie for a job well done. Debbie worked diligently checking around to make sure that my family had a place to stay in Orlando. Because I waited until the last minute to plan a vacation, she could have easily just told me that I was out of luck; however, that was not the case with her. She worked just as if she were planning the vacation for herself. On Friday, she worked very late into the evening making sure that I had a confirmation before the weekend. She truly went over and beyond her duties. It is so wonderful to have worked with someone who believe in excellent customer service.

Thanks

More feedback has been coming in! Char Gilpin sent this to Tracy:

Subject: trip

I just wanted you to know how much I appreciate the time and effort you put into planning our trip. Our hotel was better than we expected and we were pleased with the greeting at the airport as well as our return to airport. We are not frequent travelers and we certainly want to try to plan more of it. You were so helpful and you took the time to answer all of my questions and were so pleasant on the phone as well as your email correspondences. You never gave me an inclination that my questions were no brainers and I know I was needy. Please forward this to your boss, they should know how well you do your job.

We had such a wonderful time even though it rained way too much for Hawaii.

Thank you,
Char Gilpin

Again, thank you for the feedback. We’re happy to have been able to serve you, and serve you well!

Subject: Great service

Hello,

My name is Terry Smith and I have been dealing with Tracy in scheduling a Hawaii trip, using my Taylormade Driver purchase. She has been fantastic in helping me plan the trip and answering a number of questions. I am one of those people who likes to deal, in person, when making plans and especially when parting with a large sum of money for a vacation. Tracy has promptly answered all of my questions and kept me at ease. I feel lucky that Tracy ended up booking this trip for my family and just wanted you to know what a solid employee you have.

Thank you,
Terry Smith

Thank you, Terry, for letting us know what you think! Feedback is greatly appreciated in this time of growth and expansion at Fly Free America.

Holiday Safety & Happy Thanksgiving!

Posted on Wednesday 23 November 2005

In this busy travel season, we want to wish everyone the best times and offer a few tips to help make your travel go smoother.

If you’re flying, make sure to show up a little earlier than usual. Normally, the rule of thumb is one hour prior to take off for domestic flights, and two hours prior to take off for international flights. Because there are so many people travelling, there will be large crowds and long lines. Make sure to plan on taking a little longer than normal so you don’t have to rush (or worse, miss your flight).

If you’re driving, make sure to plan in stops along the way. Drinking water will help keep you awake and alert, but it does have the down-side of requiring you to stop more often. The thing to keep in mind is that your safety (and the safety of the people around you) is worth a few extra minutes. Don’t worry, grandma won’t carve the turkey without you. So stay safe and arrive happy.

No matter what you do this holiday weekend, have a great one! Personally, I plan on gaining at least 10 pounds (if you saw the way my mom cooks, you’d understand). Enjoy your turkeys, hams, cranberry sauces, stuffings, sweet potatoes, and mashed potatoes!

Zimbabwe

Posted on Tuesday 22 November 2005

Fly Free America doesn’t currently have any destinations in Africa, so anyone using their Fly Free America airfare vouchers need not worry about this. This information is provided as a general information base from the United States government.

Travel Warning
United States Department of State
Bureau of Consular Affairs
Washington, DC 20520

ZIMBABWE

November 14, 2005

This Travel Warning is being issued to remind American citizens of the continuing political, economic and humanitarian instability in Zimbabwe. This supersedes the Travel Warning of March 16, 2005.

The Department of State cautions U.S. citizens of the risks of travel to Zimbabwe, a country in the midst of political and economic turmoil. All U.S. citizens in Zimbabwe are advised to take those measures they deem appropriate to ensure their personal safety.

Zimbabwe’s economy is in a protracted state of decline, with extremely high rates of unemployment and inflation. Shortages of staple foods are a persistent problem. Deteriorating economic conditions have led to a significant increase in crime, including violent crime. A nationwide fuel shortage makes internal travel difficult and unreliable, and severely restricts the response capability of police and other emergency services.

All Americans who travel to or reside in Zimbabwe are urged to register and obtain updated information on travel and security in Zimbabwe with the U.S. Embassy in Harare or on the State Department’s travel registration website at https://travelregistration.state.gov/ibrs/. The U.S. Embassy in Harare is located at 172 Herbert Chitepo Avenue and can be contacted by phone at (263) 4-250-593/4/5.

Updated information on travel and security in Zimbabwe may be obtained from the Department of State by calling 1-888-407-4747, or from overseas 1-202-501-4444. For further information, please consult the Consular Information Sheet for Zimbabwe, and the current World Wide Caution Public Announcement, which are located on the Bureau of Consular Affairs Internet website at http://travel.state.gov.

Fly Free America Promotions

Posted on Friday 18 November 2005

I was talking today with someone who had heard of our product but didn’t fully understand it. “How can I get a Fly Free America certificate?” She asked. “Can I just buy this thing for my family for Christmas or something?” I thought, “Wow, we really haven’t ever told people how they can receive our products. What a crappy marketing campaign.”

Well, first the bad news: Fly Free America certificates aren’t really for sale to an end-user. They’re not like a gift certificate that you just buy and hand out to family members. However, since we do have many nationally known clients who are giving away Fly Free America certificates, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t be able to pick one up this holiday season. And since the certificate is completely transferrable, you can give it to friends or family (that is if you can bear to part with it)!

So where do you get one? Well you could buy a Taylor Made golf club (r7 quad, r7 quad ht, r7 quad TP, or r5 dual Type D, Type N, or Type TP) and register it online to receive an electronic certificate.

Not into golf? Well if you’re in the market for a new computer, you might try going to a Local PC Builder. Microsoft’s offer is “When you buy a PC with a genuine Windows® XP operating system from your local PC builder and validate it through the Windows Genuine Advantage tool, you qualify for a bundle of great offers…” The flagship offer in the bundle is of course 2 complimentary round-trip airline tickets.

So what if you’ve already gotten a new computer? Hook it up to the internet with a 50-day free trial from AOL and “receive the [Fly Free America] voucher package within 2-4 weeks of AOL registration.”

Are those the only deals out there? Of course not. But they are the largest offers that are still running. Most expire at the end of the year, so hurry up and get your Fly Free America certificates before these deals are history!

Taylor Made Golf

Posted on Wednesday 16 November 2005

TaylorMade Golf has teamed with Fly Free America to offer two complimentary airline tickets with the purchase of an r7 or r5 driver.

Buy a new r7 quad, r7 quad ht, r7 quad TP, or r5 dual Type D, Type N, or Type TP between now and December 31, 2005, and you’ll be eligible for two complimentary roundtrip airline tickets to your choice of over 34 destinations — including Miami, New York, Hawaii and Mexico.

You don’t have to bring your r7 and you don’t even have to play golf. What is required, however, is that you stay between four and fourteen nights at one of the selected 4-and 5-star properties — you can even transfer the offer to someone else if you choose.

Comcast Cable

Posted on Monday 14 November 2005

Cable Television giant, Comcast Cable, wanted a hook for their Introductory High Speed Cable Internet service; and contacted Fly Free America for developing a program to offer an additional incentive to their special introductory rate with free installation.

Fly Free America Director of New Business Development, Jim Whitehead, recommended the nationally recognized “Fly Free America” Incentive that offered a natural tag line association of “Fly Free” with Flying faster on the Internet via high speed cable. Utilizing a direct mail campaign with targeted lists of both current cable subscribers and Satellite customers: the creative piece hammered home the ease of Flying Faster online, as well as using the Internet for associated purchases related to traveling; such as booking flights, shopping for luggage, and checking the weather.
